On April 11, 2025, a roundtable “Current Issues in Medical Law – Theory, Practice and Legislation VI”
was held in Belgrade, organized by the Center for Legal Research of the Institute of Social Sciences
(IDN), in cooperation with the Bar Association of Vojvodina (AKV) and the AKV Gazette.

Dr Hajrija Mujović, Vice President of SUPRAM, chaired the event’s program committee and was the
initiator of this series of roundtables dedicated to current issues in medical law and taking place
annually at the IDN. The event gathered numerous experts in the fields of medical and health law,
who discussed legal aspects of current challenges in healthcare and environmental protection.
As in previous years, the event was structured around two thematic panels. The first focused on
health and environmental standards, while the second addressed various current legal and ethical
issues in the field of medical and health law. Topics included drafting the new Pandemic Treaty under
the auspices of the World Health Organisation, negative consequences of synthetic fertiliser use,
environmental pollution caused by civil aviation, the right to a healthy environment, and children’s
environmental rights. Special attention was also given to the case law of the European Court of
Human Rights, as well as to the health and environmental consequences of armed conflicts.
Abstracts from the event have been published in the official Book of Abstracts.
